Why I am a Chiefs fan part 2 - Kevin Crout

I had never been into NFL that much until about 30 minutes before the start of the 2013 season, I spent a lot of time on Twitter and lots of my followers were talking and betting on the NFL, so I decided that instead of watching the TV with the wife I would pick a team and support them.

I knew the names of the teams but didn't have a favourite, I chose the Chiefs because they have the same initials as me and they wear red and white, the same colours as my favourite football team Charlton Athletic. This was the start of something very fun and exciting.

Charlton Athletic's Stadium, The Valley

Not knowing that the previous season the Chiefs had only managed 2 victorys I sat and watched and was hooked, a run of 9 victories in a row was a great way to start but win or lose I was hooked.

Not many people I know understand why I support ,or understand why I stay up during the middle of the night to watch those Chiefs but they are a special team and have a magical stadium with the best (and noisiest) fans in the NFL. Arrowhead is at the top of my to visit list but to start I'll have to settle for watching the Chiefs at Wembley.

Next week - Brad Symcox
