Play Breakdown - Charles 2 yard TD run vs Seahawks

Today I decided to watch the Chiefs home win over the Seahawks. This game stands out as the biggest team performance of the 2014 season. To a man, the entire Chiefs roster played their part in what I think is the Chiefs greatest win since the 2011 win over the Packers.
On their opening drive the Chiefs faced 3rd and goal at the 2 yard line. With the score locked at nil-nil a touchdown would be a great way for Reid & co to start against the terrific Seahawks defense.
The next play demonstrated great teamwork, planning and execution. So for the first time ever I have broken down a play.
Step One - The formation
The Chiefs line up with Jeff Linkenbach and Anthony Sherman to the right of the offensive line with Travis Kelce and Donald Stephenson to the left. This play has run written all over it.

Step Two - Sell inside run
All of the Chiefs do a great job of selling an inside left run. The Seahawks defenders begin to shift across.

Step Three - Roll right
Alex and Jamaal both roll right whilst Linkenbach and Sherman execute their blocks perfectly isolating Seahawks defender Bruce Irvin.

Step Four - Stick or Twist
Bruce Irvin now has a big decision on his hand. Attack Alex or cover Jamaal. For Alex the play essentially becomes a read option. Once Bruce Irvin commits to the QB a simple pitch is all that is needed to get Jamaal away.

Step Five - Finish
10 guys have done their job so far. Now it's done to Jamaal to get the score. And score he does. The expert timing, planning and execution of the play allows Jamaal to just get to the corner before Bruce Irvin can recover. As Mitch would say 'TOUCHDOWN KAAAAANSAS CITY.'
