Chiefs sign 10 undrafted free agents

Per: ESPN the Chiefs signed 10 undrafted free agents. They are as follows:

CB Devante Bausby, Pittsburg State Bausby 6’2 3 year starter who has great speed. He ran a wind-aided 4.2 40-yard dash at Pittsburgh State’s Pro Day. Wind or note he has been termed a big time athlete.

WR Kenny Cook, Gardner-Webb An extremely hard worker and played WR and DB in high school. Beat cancer while a sophomore in high school. A 6’3 3/8 receiver with 10 3/8 hands. Runs a 4.5 40-yard dash.

CB Justin Cox-Mississippi State. He ran a 4.36 40-yard dash at the combine. Has some character concerns. He needs to work on some fundamentals; however, he may surprise people.

LS Andrew East, Vanderbilt—4-year starter for Vanderbilt at LS

C Garrett Frye, Georgia Southern --Versatility and played on both side of the ball at Georgia Southern.

RB Manasseh Garner, Pittsburgh Receiver in college at Wisconsin and 2years at Pittsburgh.

DT David Irving, Iowa State 6’7 was kicked off team after being charged with criminal mischief.

WR Donatella Luckett, Harding Good size and speed. Ran a 4.37 40-yard dash at combine. Ran a 10.4 100-yard dash while a

member of the Harding track team. Has excellent after the catch yardage percentage.

LB Justin March-Lilard, Akron Started 10 out of 11 games as a starter

OT Charles Sweeton,Tennesse-Martin was first all-Ohio Valley Conference last season.

Most don’t make the team but this gives these athletes a shot at making the team. Albert Wilson was a huge undrafted free agent story last season for the Chiefs. Good Luck, Gentlemen.

Pryor Waived By Chiefs

The Chiefs waived QB Terrelle Pryor on Tuesday. The team wanted to give him the most amount of time so that he might catch on with another team. Say what you want about his skills as a QB; he was an all-pro person during his short time as a Kansas City Chief. He made a point of visiting sick children at the University Of Kansas Medical Center. Anyone who does that is an all-pro person. Thanks for the things you’ve done.

Editor note: Terelle has since been picked up by the Bengals.

Why you should be excited about the Chiefs rookie minicamp this weekend

The Chiefs have a rookie minicamp this Saturday, Sunday ending Monday. The most important thing is that we will get a glimpse of our new draft class. That means seeing our first round selection, Marcus Peters for the first time. After this, he and Steven Nelson won’t be available due to an NFL rule that says rookies cannot participate until their class graduates. Both Oregon and Oregon State have graduation dates in mid June. They will miss the rest of OTA. The next time they will be present is late June for the mandatory camp of the entire team that are under contract. So, what can we expect to see? I think everyone is going to be ready to go. The rookies will be seeking an opportunity to prove they were worthy of their draft class. In addition, if that doesn’t have you excited and ready to see them, then you are not a fan. That is my opinion; however, you must also consider the undrafted free agents the Chiefs signed and recently announced. If you want more on the undrafted guys, scan up and read a little bit about them.

Anyway, I’m super excited to read how they do. In addition, you can bet on a here is what happened take from yours truly. I know @TerezPaylor will be there and is a very good judge of talent. Check out his twitter and see what I mean. Until next time, enjoy the weekend!

Chiefs try out Steven Borden

Who is Steve Borden? I hear you ask. Well Steve is an Tight End out of Kentucky that has been working out with the Chiefs at mini camp.

But what makes him so special . . . .?

He is WCW legend Sting's son. Yes the one with the face paint and the baseball bat. If Steve makes the team then maybe he should adopt his old man's face paint for game day.
